Electra Delivers First eCargo SEIV 16-250 to Warburtons
We’re excited to share the successful delivery of our first Electra eCargo SEIV 16-250 battery-electric vehicle to Warburtons operating out of their Widnes depot – a significant milestone in our ongoing partnership to support the transition to zero-emission logistics.
Andrew Holliday, Electra’s Head of Commercial and Sales Operations, was joined by Chris Lang, Widnes Depot Site Lead, and Andrew Dale, Warburtons Lead Fleet Engineer, for the official handover. As part of the process, we provided an in-depth 4-day training programme, covering both operational driver training and technical maintenance familiarisation. These sessions are essential to ensuring a smooth and confident integration of battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) into day-to-day operations.
The vehicle, supplied on a contract hire agreement and maintained by NRG Riverside, is fitted with a 210kWh LFP battery pack. Early feedback has been promising – even on challenging stop-start urban routes, the eCargo has delivered more than 110 km per day, returning to base with 55–60% state of charge remaining.
We’re proud to support Warburtons sustainability goals and help them take meaningful steps toward reducing fleet emissions. A big thank you to Steven Gray and the wider Warburtons team for trusting Electra to help drive this change.
This handover marks just the beginning of a shared commitment to cleaner, more efficient transport solutions.
