Electra Commercial Vehicles welcomes Beckfoot School for STEM industry experience in partnership with Accu

We recently welcomed students from Beckfoot School for an immersive STEM experience delivered in partnership with leading component supplier Accu. The visit formed part of Electra’s ongoing commitment to supporting engineering education and inspiring the next generation of innovators in the zero-emission transport sector.

During the visit, Accu’s Lead Engineer presented an interactive session demonstrating how precision engineering and component technology support Electra’s electric commercial vehicle production. Students toured Electra’s facilities, gaining first-hand insight into the processes behind building fully electric commercial vehicles and the skills required to work in a modern, sustainable manufacturing environment.

The day concluded with hands-on activities, including Accu’s popular “AccuBots” engineering challenge, which encouraged creativity, problem-solving and teamwork. Electra team members also joined in, offering students the chance to collaborate directly with industry professionals.

“We are proud to open our doors to young people who are considering careers in engineering, manufacturing and clean transport. Partnerships like this are crucial in demonstrating not only the future of zero-emission mobility, but also the exciting career pathways available within the industry”
